Matterhorn, Zermatt :
This pyramid-shaped giant is arguably the most photographed mountain in the world and therefore, also Switzerland’s most famous Alpine peak and a top place to visit in Switzerland. The Matterhorn in Zermatt stands at 4,478 metres high and draws mountaineers from all corners of the globe eager to conquer its ascent – some even daring to reach its summit.
This is the city of Peace. It’s the second most populous city in the country and yet featured as one of the best places for honeymoon. There is not a single dull moment here. With panoramic landscapes filling the heart of the viewer with contentment, this place has a lot to offer.
Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, sited on Lake Lucerne, is embedded within an impressive mountainous panorama. Thanks to its attractions, its souvenir and watch shops, the beautiful lakeside setting and the nearby excursion mountains of the Rigi, Pilatus and Stanserhorn, the town is a destination for many travel groups and individuals on their journey through central Switzerland.
Rhine Falls :
This is Europe’s largest waterfall located at the northernmost part of Switzerland near the town of Schaffhausen. The mighty falls roar from a breadth of more than 150 metres. Visitors can watch the spectacle from several viewing decks while those bold enough can rent their own canoes and travel to nearby castles Schloss Laufen and SchlossWörth. On Swiss National Day, 1st August, the Rheinfall flaunts a sensational firework display that attracts a lot of tourists.
